Steps
- STEPS:
- Day 1 – 2: Use a clean tissue every few hours to pick up the clear fluid that is coming out. This will help reduce scabbing, as the fluid forms the scabs. Before bed, if the lips still have dry lymph, rinse with lukewarm water, gently removing the dry lymph. Pat dry and apply aftercare. Dab dry and do not rub!
- Day 2 – 7: The lips may still be swollen on the second day. Always keep the skin moist; do not let lips dry out. Continue to apply aftercare every 30 minutes throughout the day.
- Day 1-7 (or until the scabs are gone) AVOID: Water (on a PMU area) aside from cleaning; Makeup; Sauna; Excessive sweating; Pools; Sunbathing and/or direct sun; Spicy food; Kissing.
- REMEMBER!: DO NOT pick the dry lips. Do NOT apply anything besides AFTERCARE (no Vaseline, antibiotic creams, lip gloss, etc.). Touch-ups (if needed) can be done no sooner than 8 weeks after the initial appointment.
- IMPORTANT!!: Signs and symptoms of infection include, but are not limited to: redness, swelling, tenderness of the procedure site, red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, elevated body temperature, or purulent drainage from the procedure site. Seek medical care if you experience any of these signs and symptoms of infection.
